Here's an outstanding video showcasing Kangaroo Island in Australia. Located near Adelaide in South Australia, this region has an amazing abundance of unique animals, vegetation and rock formations. The sea lion population is large and readily available to tourists, and the beaches are lovely. This is Australia's third largest island, and definitely one of the best places to enjoy indigenous creatures such as kangaroos (obviously), koalas, wallabies and more.
Here's a great short documentary from National Geographic documenting a photographer's quest for the perfect photo of a whale shark in Australia. Complete with the opening of its mouth, contrast with some yellow fish and a scuba diver overhead, I'm sure you'll agree the time and effort was worth it!
If you're thinking of visiting or traveling anywhere in central Australia, watch this video first. It's a wonderful look at some of the spectacular things to see and do "Down Under", particular from a camping excursion perspective. It is quite detailed with text descriptions of the tourist attractions and sights in the Outback, including the landmark Uluru (Ayers Rock) and hiking destinations.
Here's a look at the Cleland Wildlife Park near Adelaide in South Australia. The park offers an interactive environment for people to see Australia's indigenous animal life, such as koala, kangaroo, dingo and of course lots of snakes and lizards. I'm always torn with zoos since the animals are captive - but hopefully in this environment they can really educate visitors and tourists.
Fantastic video showing some of the more remote regions of Central Australia. Great aerial views of mountain ranges and rock formations, complete with text highlighting each landmark. Really impressive work!
